AJAX, DURHAM REGION - Ajax brings free concerts for all ages . Wednesdays are about to become the best day of the week in Ajax as the Town begins its annual “Summer in the Square” event, kicking off on July 7 and running until September 1.

Taking place every Wednesday at Town Hall’s Heritage Square, the free evening performances will delight audiences of all ages, with “Music in the Square” and “Kids in the Square” taking alternate Wednesdays. One week, residents will find a tribute to Elvis Presley, and the next week, families can bounce to the music of Camp Rock.

Rain or shine (performances move indoors in case of inclement weather), the following performances take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.:

Kids in the Square:
July 7 – Splash N’ Boots
July 21 – Rick & Terry: Just for Kids
August 4 – Craig Douglas
August 18 – Groovin’ Toons
September 1 – Camp Rock Revisited

Music in the Square:
July 14 – A Roy L Tribute to Elvis Presley
July 28 – A Tribute to Billy Joel featuring Jeff Brewer
August 11 – Practically Hip: A Tribute to the Tragically Hip
